On International Women’s Day, I celebrate the women who make this team. Not only do they do all the amazing veterinary work you know and appreciate, but they fix equipment on the fly, troubleshoot computers and networks and printers, shovel snow and mop floors. These women hug you on your hardest days, answer questions with supreme patience, and lovingly care for all creatures around them (ok, Steph doesn’t do snakes) without losing their smiles. They will make sure every detail is right and then some. All women are amazing. But these women are fierce.

10 years!!!!

Today marks 10 years since we opened our doors. We were younger back then! We opened doors as a small crew of 4 (Sarah, Stephanie and I are still at it and Mel is just down the road at our friends at Conway Veterinary Hospital) and are now a healthy 9!

Sarah wrote this fitting overview:

Today marks ten years since True North Veterinary Hospital opened its doors, and we have been absolutely humbled by the love and support of our amazing clients every single day since.

Ten years of slobbery kisses, muddy paw prints, fur covered uniforms, a concerning amount of caffeine, and friendship. We’ve laughed, cried, learned, and been peed on. We get to care for the pets who make your families whole, watch them grow, and help you fill their lives with love. Honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.

From the bottom of our furry, coffee-fueled (and possibly a little bit smelly) hearts: Thank you for trusting us, loving us, and letting us be part of your lives!

Here’s to another decade of compassion, connection, and f***l samples!
