The dog side needs a couple of volunteers that can commit to at least one day a week 1pm-4pm. Must be at least 16 to volunteer without a parent or guardian. Perfect for retirees, home schooled teenagers, college kids, etc. Most days it's cleaning bowls, keeping water bowls full, feeding, mopping, and of course getting to know and love the dogs. We are happy to work with you on things you would like to learn such as computer tracking, spay/neuter clinics, how to give vaccines, how to give and track monthly meds, etc.
Volunteers do get first choice of any paid openings that come up. And can be trained to fill in on paid spots when vacations roll through. Please stop by ARF Monday-Saturday 1-4 to see what's involved and to get a tour.
