Our sweet Oreo has been experiencing health issues lately, presenting with symptoms consistent with an upper respiratory infection, including sneezing, high temperature, and lethargy. Following a thorough examination, blood work, radiographs, and fluid analysis to rule out Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), he received a Convenia injection and fluid therapy. Due to limited improvement, Doxycycline was also added. Despite this, as of yesterday his temperature persisted, prompting further fluid therapy, blood work, which showed a decrease in his red blood cell count, although he remains non-anemic. His globulin levels continue to rise, leading to the initiation of FIP treatment as a precautionary measure. (Dry form of fip) Additionally, he is experiencing weight loss which is concerning. Dr. Williams has also done a fever of unknown origin panel, with results pending. We are providing Oreo with best care possible, including daily nebulizer treatments, lysine, probiotics with vitamin C, immune-boosting supplements, and prescribed medications. The possibility that this is leukemia related scares me the most and I can’t even think that way because I love him too much. Please keep Oreo in your thoughts ❤️

We love happy endings and before/ after photos of the cats we helped. 🐾
These three boys started showing up one day at the residence of The Moore Foundation, and we were puzzled because they all looked alike ! As we were trying to make count, they kept coming and coming!
First, we trapped Pumpkin who has been the friendliest of them all. Second came Milkshake. It took a while before he got comfortable, but Pumpkin was so helpful in the process and showed him there was nothing to be afraid of !
The last was Winky, who tricked us before being trapped, as he somehow managed to walk into trap without setting it off. Ultimately, we got him too and all three came to auntie Basia’s foster home.
Poor Winky had to have his eye removed as it was beyond saving and all three were thoroughly vetted (vaccinated, neutered, dewormed, microchipped) Pumpkin had a medical issue that was quite a scare that required an MRI scan along with a CT scan of his ear/ head. He started tilting his head and we were almost certain that it was either a deep ear infection or worse, a polip. After series of antibiotics and vet visits, he finally got better and his symptoms subsided.

The boys were negative for Felv and Fiv, which made us very happy.
Now here comes the best part - All three were adopted together !! 🧡how amazing is that?!

MARCO ♡
Marco was pulled from animal control as an emergency before being euthanized. We agreed to take him in even though we were at capacity.
Poor Marco had an active paw infection, terrible upper respiratory infection and had to be closely monitored. Marco had to be syringe fed as he would not eat on his own, received fluids and nebulizer treatments which helped tremendously. Today he is one of the happiest and playful cats, with a great amount of energy that sometimes makes him a naughty boy in a good way 🙂 (like ending up on top of kitchen cabinets) Marco is currently at one of our foster homes, hoping for a forever home as an only cat. Marco is FELV+

If you are intrested in adopting this sweet boy, please message us. Because Marco is positive for leukemia, his vet bills will be covered for the rest of his life.

ARCHIE ♡

Archie is one of the 3 black cats at the foundation and he’s certainly the boss 😉
Archie always supervises the home and makes sure everything is under control. But, underneath that big body, there’s the sweet Archie boy who loves laser lights and mouse toys which he sits on.
Archie is FELV+

UPDATE: Marco is going to his new foster home this weekend 🧡

FOSTER/ FOREVER HOME NEEDED 🚨🚨
We are still searching for that right human to open their home to sweet Marco 🧡
This boy is about 2 years old, full of energy, playfulness and love. He loves to chase laser lights and play with his big collection of toys ☺️
We rescued him from animal control as an urgent case knowing he might have been euthanized due to his felv status. Poor guy was so sick with upper respiratory and infected paw, but that’s all behind him! After few vet visits, round of antibiotics and nebulizer treatments, Marco got a new chance at life❤️ he gained weight, became active and did we mention - he’s more handsome than ever ! 😍

It’s a bit challenging because Marco needs to be a solo cat and he is positive for feline leukemia. Fortunately, he is without symptoms and The Moore Foundation will cover all his future vet bills for the rest of his life. He’s doing amazing in his foster home, but it will end December 6th as auntie Ronna is leaving to travel. Please help us find Marco a stable, loving home that he deserves 🧡🧡🐈❤️🐾
