Skip the dog walk on Thursday. The air quality is expected to take a turn for the worse. The wildfire smoke can also affect your pets, especially senior pets and those with underlying health issues.

You can let your pets out to do their business, but don't let them stay out for long periods of time.

Skip the dog walk Tuesday afternoon - the heat index is expected to approach triple digits.

Keep your pets hydrated and indoors as much as possible. They can go out to do their business, but don't leave them outdoors unattended.
