You can let your pets out to do their business, but don't let them stay out for long periods of time.

A reminder to skip the afternoon dog walks on hot, sunny days like Tuesday. The surface temperature of asphalt and pavement gets hot enough to burn your dogs paws.

A simple test is to touch the pavement before heading out. If it feels too hot to keep your hand on it, skip the walk!
