Awesome weekend :).

A huge thank you to everyone who came out for the Shawna Clinic and Horse-First Show Series classes. What a blast—I always come away from these weekends feeling so energized and excited to get back to training!

I am especially proud of the Misty Step horses for showing their hospitality. Special shout-out to Beverly pony (and my working student Annabelle) for a well deserved champion ribbon! 🎉👏 It's Bev's world we're all just living in it. 😂

Can't wait for the next one ❤️

And also thank you to Ashley for capturing some truly beautiful pictures :)

We have a busy travel schedule coming up. Jessie and I love these trips and the opportunity to teach R+, to help get people on the right track, to develop a clearer understanding of R+ and the science that is behind it. We focus on helping people to take the science to using it in the real world, with your own horse. We guide participants to develop better timing and improve their skills, to help people to get started on this amazing journey. Here is a list of our upcoming clinics and look forward to seeing and meeting some you there. 🔆💚💙

Horse friends!! I have a lovely Percheron Cross gelding at my farm in Barnesville who is looking for an on the farm lease! He has had just clicker training for years now, so would be great for anyone clicker-curious, or clicker-saavy, but is a very versatile and kind confidence building dude. Here's his ad below, shoot me a message or an email if you are interested or know of anyone who is!

This Percheron cross gentleman is as kind as he is comfortable to sit on—and would make someone a lovely confidence-building partner.
Gus is very clicker-savvy and loves to learn, making him a fun and rewarding partner. He has been in full training at Misty Step for the past 5 months, building R+ consistency under saddle in the arena. He has just begun exploring the beautiful 50-acre property and doing his easiest behaviors while out and about! On the ground he also knows many behaviors, including buoy target, going to a mat, kicking a ball, going over poles, targeting his body to the saddle, mounting block, or girth, and loves to learn more!
With his generous trusting personality, Gus would shine as a trail partner for any patient rider. He is engaged, but polite for training, and feels exceptionally safe to be around for groundwork. He would also be a wonderful candidate for someone interested in participating in the R+ Show at Misty Step this September.
A full lease is preferred, though a half lease may be considered for the right match.
If you’d like to learn more about Gus or come meet him, please reach out to Anna at [email protected].

An update many but not all of you know already: We moved!! To a farm 5 minutes down the road with more pasture and space to roam. Some construction needed, but we're able to find stuff to do while we wait for the arena to be done :).
