The goal of Shar-Pei Rescue of VA is to help rehabilitate and re-home shelter Shar-Pei, Shar-Pei in situations of cruelty and neglect or simply families that can no longer care for their Chinese Shar-Pei.

Hello everyone! Daisy Mae here checking in to let everyone know that I am doing amazing❤❤❤❤! Even though I have difficulty walking, I am happy to try to play with Pei Foster siblings, Storm or Zeus, each day. I am on meds for skin allergies and leg pain. My fur has filled in the bald areas and it is silky soft....so much better than when I arrived!

Tulsi (previously Pancake) is busy exploring her foster home❤. She is doing really well. She is very interested in what everybody is doing. She has pretty good recall...once she figures out it's her you are calling!🤣 But it's just a few days learning and less than week with new name. She has run of the yard & basement when her Foster Mommy is with her. She prefers to be inside. Even if Foster Mommy is outside paying attention to her, after about 15 minutes, she goes back inside.

Thank you to the wonderful volunteers who transported Annie (cream) and Pancake (fawn) from Virginia to their foster home in Kentucky ❤❤. They went to NC for an overnight with Linda, who also did a nice photo shoot with the girls! Thank you Scott, Jana, Linda, Liz and Foster Mommy, Kelly for helping the girls! ❤❤❤

We have some heartbreaking news. Sweet Annie crossed to Rainbow Bridge today. She has been in renal failure and was doing well, but became very sick Sunday evening and never recovered. Her little body couldn't rebound. She was so loved by her Foster Mommy, Linda, and her pack. We are so thankful to her Foster Mommy for giving her such amazing care and making her final year comfortable. We send our sympathies to Foster Mommy and her pack. RIP Sweet Annie
