Recent rabies cases in Central Kentucky are a good reminder of how important prevention is.

Rabies is a fatal disease that can affect any mammal, including pets, livestock, wildlife, and people.

Kentucky law requires dogs, cats, and ferrets to be vaccinated against rabies by 4 months of age and kept current thereafter. Vaccination is also strongly recommended for horses.

To protect our patients, their families, and our team, we require a current rabies vaccination for pets receiving services at our clinic.

If you’re unsure about your pet’s status, we’re happy to help you review their records.
