Mine & Bella's friend Annie entered Bella the cocker rescued from her chain by Dogs Deserve Better in Summit County in the Bissell contest. Voting begins on 3/16. Voting is daily for 1 week. Bella's vet apt went good. No diabetes. She got her shots & hated needles.The vet isn't too concerned about doing surgery as far as her eyes because of her age. She has a cough now & he gave her a steroid shot & antibiotics. He said the best thing for her is lots of love & a warm home which she is definitely getting here. Thank u to all of u who have emailed asking how she is doing & for the chip in.

"BELLA" BLIND/DEAF COCKER UPDATE: My name is Krysta & I am the Dogs Deserve Better Barberton, Ohio (Summit Co.) Rep. I am the one who rescued Bella. I have decided to foster this little girl. I feel it is in her best interest to not be bounced around from foster to foster. She is doing great & mastering my floor plan. I feel it would not be right to risk her having to go from place to place & having to re-learn her way around another house. I appreciate all of the help everyone has given. I will be taking her to the vet soon & I will update you all. ~Krysta & Bella

This is Bella & she was rescued/unchained today in Akron, Ohio. We are pretty sure she is blind & partially deaf. I was keeping her until a lady who wanted to foster her could pick her up. When I called the lady & told her that I was pretty sure Bella is blind she didn't want her anymore. If anyone knows of anybody who could foster her please email ASAP. I live in an apartment & I am not allowed to have more than one dog. Bella is an awesome little girl. She gets along with my Chihuahua & kids. [email protected]
