A tribute to friends who didn’t make it through this month😞
All three of these dogs taught me something different. A different approach, different handling, how to keep calm when 💩 hit the fan.
Schotzie was a very difficult behavior case. She had been blacklisted from several other places due to her ✨ spice ✨There were times where good enough just had to be, good enough. You didn’t mess with Schotzie! For the last year and a half she had really, really turned a corner with trusting me and the process.
Aries had been coming to see me since I first learned how to groom. She was a typical Mal, absolutely loathed being bathed and getting her nails done. She had a way of making her 75/80 pounds feel like 700. There was never a dull moment with that diva, and when she was done all she wanted to do was sit at my feet for pats.
Most recently, Toby. One of the hardest goodbyes I’ve had in my entire career. Giving a dog their last groom, is and always will be, both agonizing and an honor.
His health declined rapidly due to a very aggressive form of cancer. In a matter of three months he became unrecognizable, but yet despite the discomfort, he was still himself. Toby was a handful- he was loud and proud to be a poodle. He found a way to weasel into my heart and man was it hard to say that goodbye. He was the absolute best boy for his last bath💗
Hug your pups tonight, give them the extra treat, tell them how much you love them. Their time with us is so painfully limited. My deepest condolences to the families of these wonderful dogs 🌈
