A friendly reminder! Retractable leashes, while they may seem convenient, can be detrimental to both training your pet and their health.
Please consider safer alternatives!

If you own a dog you know that the amount of gear and tools needed – bed, collar, food dishes, brushes, treats, dog food, toys – rivals that of a new baby. And of these, a good leash is at the top of the list. Leashes vary

To all our Clients,
We at The Village Veterinarian are remaining open and are committed to providing you and your pets with the best veterinary care possible during this crisis.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 concerns we are subject to some fluctuations in hours for the coming weeks. Please if an issue arises call the office to see when we can schedule your pet for an appointment.
*please note at this time we will not be having Saturday availability*

Please take into consideration the following protocols that are currently in place:
•Call the office prior to coming for an appointment, food or medication pick up
•If you, a family member, or someone you have been in contact with is ill or has been traveling please notify us prior to the appointment so we can best help you and your pet
•There is a 1 person per pet limit at this time for all visits
•If you have a compromised immune system and do not feel comfortable bringing your pet, just let us know. We understand and will happily reschedule
•Please keep a reasonable distance from staff during appointments and again, if you are unwell please stay home. We will happily reschedule your appointment.

What we are doing for your safety:
• Here at The Village Veterinarian we do disinfect and clean on a regular basis. Please do know we have become even more vigilant and do our utmost to disinfect exam rooms and waiting room in between each patient
•We are spacing our appointments out to try and minimize contact with other individuals, please bare this in mind if you arrive early or late to your appointment. We may ask you to remain in your car until the previous appointment has exited the building.

If we are closed and an emergency arises, we recommend Harmony Animal Hospital in NJ at (908)454-5600 or Valley Central Referral Hospital in Whitehall at (610)435-1553. Please note both these hospitals do have emergency protocols in place and you MUST call prior to bringing your pet to them.

This is a very fluid situation and we will respond to any new developments as they arise. Please call the office with any questions or concerns!

Thank you and stay safe everyone!
