Hello Everyone,

Happy Holidays!! It's been a while since I have posted, actually its been a year. WOW, where has it gone.

Well to bring you up to date on some things. I just posted my new gift boxes for the Holidays. Be sure you go to my online store at www.dogstyleboutique.com and have a look. We will ship these gifts free in the US. I know you will find something for your dog's friends.

I have made a new treat for the Holidays, it's Dehydrated Turkey Breast with Ginger. Remember, ginger is good for a upset tummy, so remember Fido when all your guests come over to drop off all those gifts!!

I am planning on posting a newsletter this year, I hope monthly, it will cover a lot of different topics, such as "my dog is allergic to chicken", why does he scratch all the time? Just some information that might help you out.

If you have any suggestions about some topics please notify me or drop of your suggestions with Cheyanne in the store. If you haven't met Cheyanne, you need to come and say hi. She joined my team about a year ago and has become a very valuable addition. She loves dogs, so bring in your pet, meet her and get a treat.

Most of all, I want to thank you all for all your years of support. I have had a lot of you as customers for many years, some since I opened 19 years ago. I have seen so many dogs through the years and some their whole lifetime! Some of you that know me may not know that I lost my beloved husband John this year. He as been my friend, partner, lover and confidant for the past 51 years. My heart is very sad, I miss him every day. Please stop and give your special ones a hug and tell them you love them.

This is a post for anybody who is looking at horses from Rockin G horses in Texas. This guy sold me a horse. It’s half dead the time it reached here he’s going to have to be put down because of the amount of pain he is in. it’s a shame that our country is turning to such crap people who are not only crappy to people, but cruel to animals.

I have a four year old neutered male standard poodle that is looking for a home. His person has passed and no family wanted him. I have had him for two months and he is a really good boy. In the short time I have had him and because of his grieving he has really attached himself to me. I have a lot of other animals and I cannot and don’t want to pay all my attention to one. Jack needs a home that he will be the only dog because he needs and deserves that kind of attention. If you are interested in Jack please give me a call and I will explain more about him. HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!
I hope to find everyone healthy and happy. Here at Dog Style Boutique and Bone Appetit it has been a very busy year. We have a couple of new items, plus Deirdre has been working very hard in organizing the store with our new line of EQUINE products. We just started bringing items in after a long process of making sure the products that we bring in are safe and work for your equine friend. We have found so many of our clients that have dog companions also have horses. I for one have seven!! Yes, you heard me! It is all what we want in life that is important.
Our new equine line will carry homeopathic treatment products, USA made treats, some beautiful headstall, chest strap and rein combos. We will have some grooming items, saddle pads, and some fun stuff for your horse. We have also brought in (for you) some hats, bags, gloves, and even a little jewelry.
Of course, on our canine/feline items, we have some great new toys, some nice jackets with harness’, new rabbit treats and of course our Bone Appetit treat line. Richard has been busy making new products along with all the old favorites. Our new one is Dehydrated Turkey Breast with Peanut Butter and Kidney Krunch, this is popular with older dogs and puppies because they are softer than our Liver and Turkey Breast treats. We have had no complaints!!

Hi Everyone, Hope you are all getting ready for Christmas 1 week from today!!! WOW. Hello Everyone,
Just wanted to bring everyone up to speed on the happenings in the past few months. First, we have suffered through the changes with our personal and professional lives, as well as the world has, going through this pandemic. It has changed our lives forever, in some ways good and other ways very devastating. No one person has not gone through loss in the past few months, either be it of jobs, financial, friends, family or just the simplicity of our comfortable routine.

My first personal joy then loss came on April 27, when my beautiful Clydesdale Lily gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. We named this beautiful gift, Leona. Her official name "Jones’ Leona of Footprint Farms". On April 28, we lost our beautiful baby girl, the loss and grief are far deeper than I can put in any words. Lily was very saddened, and it has taken weeks for her to work through her grief as well as myself.

The next big loss came when I lost my faithful and loving companion Tater (Tot). Many of you knew Tater through my service dog program, reading program, store opening, pig training and nose work. He was a little ambassador and was a big part of my existence. His loss was huge, but understanding life and death we celebrated his 14-year life.
The following week after loosing Tater, my silly boy Gunther (labradoodle) became sick and within 24 hours had to be put down for the toxic invasion in his body. We had no idea what he got into, but it effected his spine and within the next few hours he had to be put down to stop his suffering. I can’t even begin to tell you how my heart was breaking and when I thought it was all done, 6 hours later it hit my goofy, loving, happy, devoted Charlee (Standard Poodle). Again, after tests and everything possible, we put him down as well. We still don’t know what happened, but it didn’t affect the others, Bear, Elsa, Olivia and Bentley. They are fine other than the loss they feel for their pack members.

I’m not going to lie; it has been rough and some days it takes every bit of myself to move forward. I wanted something to bring happiness and healing to my heart and being. I wasn’t getting it from my family, friends or community, not that everyone didn’t try. I needed to be healed. I started looking for a new companion and wasn’t even having any luck doing that. I spent to many hours a day looking for that special something, but as life happens, when several doors close and you are down and out and feel there can never be happiness again, something wonderful comes along. I want you to meet my new lifeline, his name is Stanley. He is a beautiful, happy and loving Brussels Griffon. I have a great feeling about my journey with this little guy. He is beautiful like my Leona, loving and devoted as my Tater, and goofy and fun like my Gunther and Charlee. Thank you Mindy Cook for such an incredible little guy.

I am writing this not to get sympathy, I know that most of you have sent your thoughts to me, and I really appreciate them. I just wanted to share with you that life does have an unpredictable path. We will get through all that is happening. All of us will have some type of scaring from this ordeal, but we will survive. The heavy hearts that some of us have, will heal. We must believe in that.

I appreciate all your support over the years, and I hope you continue. Please come in and meet Stanley, he loves people and life! He is also teaching me to find my peace. I miss all of you; Leona, Tater, Gunther and my Charlee. You are forever in my heart, and I will see you at the Rainbow Bridge.

Hello Everyone,

WOW, who would of thought we would start 2020 like this!! The true test of fate. I just wanted to let you all know that Bone Appetit is in great condition as far as product on hand, and product for production. We continue to produce food twice a week and plan on doing that, so we will be able to provide food for your furry friends. The store is able to stay open as well and as long as UPS continues to deliver/pick up we are covered that way too. The next few months are going to be a trying time for all of us, as well as our furry friends, as they see their people going through different issues. When you feel like everything is going in the toilet, sit down and love your furry friends, they will understand and help you cope. I hope you all stay safe and healthy and remember to help one another as much as possible and keep your furry friends safe and secure. If you are local and can't get out and need dog or cat food, please call the store at 541-347-2504 from 11 - 4 Monday through Saturday and we will arrange for delivery.

Happy New Year Everyone! WOW, can you believe it’s 2020!! I remember getting ready for the big excitement of 2000!!! Anyway, first want to thank everyone for your continued support, we had a great Christmas and as you can see our little ET did too. We have some great new happenings in Bone Appetit and Dog Style Boutique this year. We are going to offer some great get togethers, not only social time with each other, but we are going to have informative talks. Some of the topics are going to be; improving good nutrition, protocols on vaccines, puppy problems, detoxing your pets and many other subjects. I hope you check in on the face book page that’s where I will post the information on the future talks and social time. Please come in if you are in town and meet our newest addition Deirdre and her little companion Thor (ET).
