We have some exciting news! We are welcoming another veterinarian to Bandon Vet Hospital in October! We are looking forward to her arrival, and can't wait for the community to meet her.

Get to know your new veterinarian: Dr. Rita Kalar is a recent graduate of the University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine. She is thrilled to be trading in the desert sun for the foggy PNW and joining the Bandon Veterinary Hospital team! Dr. Rita has gained a wide variety of skills and experiences this past year having had the opportunity to travel and practice all over the country (even in Alaska!) and is excited to now have the chance to share her expertise with the Bandon community. She is passionate about access to care and supporting all animals (great and small) to live their best lives alongside the people who care so much for them. Dr. Rita has a particular interest in preventative medicine, geriatric care, and working with ruminants, in addition to our dog and cat friends. She is looking forward to getting out into nature and exploring all that the region has to offer with her own senior pup, Wilma, at her side.

We’re excited to share that our new communication system, Vello, is officially up and running at Bandon Veterinary Hospital! 🐾✨

This means an easier, more convenient way for you to connect with us, access your pet’s information, and stay on top of their care.

Thank you for your patience during the transition—we’re so happy to bring you a more user-friendly experience! If you have any questions or need help getting started, feel free to reach out.💙

📢 A quick update for our clients!📢

Our texting service will be temporarily unavailable for about a week while we make a few improvements to our system.

In the meantime, please feel free to call the clinic directly if you need to schedule, have questions, or need anything for your pet—we’re always happy to help.

The good news is that these updates will also allow us to introduce new, user-friendly pet portals soon, making it even easier for you to access your pet’s information and communicate with our team.

Thank you for your patience and for trusting us with your pets. We truly appreciate being part of their care! 🐾❤️
