Starting 05/13/2026, updated pricing for services at Happy Husky Canine Training will officially go into effect.

Over time, the cost of supplies, training equipment, travel, and other business expenses has continued to increase. In order to continue providing quality training, individualized support, and the best experience possible for both dogs and owners, I’ve had to make some adjustments to pricing.

Travel rates will now apply for sessions outside of Bandera County.

I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who has trusted me with their dogs and supported my small business. Your support truly means so much, and I look forward to continuing to help dogs and owners build confident, successful partnerships. 🐾❤️

Socialization is one of the most important things you can give your puppy—and it’s so much more than just meeting other dogs. 🐾

True socialization means safely and positively exposing your puppy to the world around them during their critical learning period.
This includes:
• New people (different ages, appearances, energy levels)
• Different environments (stores, parks, parking lots, vet clinics)
• Sounds (traffic, carts, kids playing, loud noises)
• Surfaces (grass, concrete, gravel, slick floors)
• Objects (umbrellas, strollers, bikes, etc.)

The goal isn’t to overwhelm them—it’s to build confidence, neutrality, and trust. A well-socialized puppy learns how to observe, think, and remain calm in new situations rather than reacting with fear or excitement.

Let’s clear up a common misconception:
Socialization ≠ dog parks or uncontrolled play with random dogs.
In fact, too much of that can actually create bad habits or fear.

Good socialization looks like:
✔️ Calm exposure
✔️ Positive experiences
✔️ Learning to focus on their handler
✔️ Practicing neutrality, not overexcitement

The puppies who get this right early on grow into dogs who can go anywhere and handle life with confidence. And that’s the goal—a dog who can exist in the world without stress.

Start small, keep it positive, and advocate for your puppy every step of the way. It matters more than you think. 💛🐕

We want to thank the Bandera Girl Scouts for having us out on Saturday! We are a part of the AKC Canine Ambassador Program - meaning we get to go out in the community and talk about dogs. We had a wonderful time talking to the girls about responsible dog ownership, safety around dogs, and training!

Bailey working on one of the most underrated service dog skills: settling. 💛

Sometimes training isn’t flashy. It’s just learning how to lay down, relax, and exist calmly in different environments. No excitement, no constant engagement, just being neutral and steady.

For a service dog, that calm “off switch” is just as important as any task work.

Miss Bailey did phenomenal on her very first outing! Props to her and her handler for putting in the great work! 💪💜

✨Meet Bailey & Paisley!✨

We’re excited to welcome Bailey and Paisley to Happy Husky Canine Training!

Bailey is a beautiful Golden Retriever who will be working toward becoming a service dog, and we’ll also be focusing on building calm house manners. She has such a sweet personality and we can’t wait to help her reach her full potential!

Paisley is an adorable Australian Shepherd who is here to continue building good manners and work on polite behavior around the home. She’s so smart and such a fun girl already!

We’re so excited to be a part of both of their training journeys. Great things ahead for these two! 🐾
