Getting to know Duncan and Pancake. Duncan is a pretty balanced puppy and we'll be working on all the puppy things. We started conditioning his verbal markers and got him out walking on a long line. Great success! His sister Pancake is a sweetheart, but struggles with engagement and selective hearing out in the world. So we'll be working on improving her ability to meaningful with her humans, and do a recall refresher.

Working on a gameplan to help Stella( German Shepherd) learn how to live with her new sister, Olive. This is not going to be an easy task. Stella is a working line Shepherd with enough drive to power a Ferarri. She struggles with hyper arousal and displays a lot of obsessive compulsive traits. Leading her to struggle with settling and living in a balanced mental state.
This state of mind is not one in which she can safely share space with Olive. We have some challenging days ahead of us. But im hopeful with a structured plan, including both training and management. We can get them to a place of peaceful supervised coexistence.

They're are levels to this. Working through some obedience exercises with Mr. Bodie. In the first rep of the first video I moved a little too fast and had to reset him on his place. I slowed down on the second rep and he crushed it. The second video is him completing a stay, recalling, and beginning on steps in a heel position. The last two pictures are simply Bodie being a handsome boy.😎

A round of appaws for our newest protégé, Maverick. He is always ready to work, and very eager to please. But he is susceptible to becoming overstimulated. Which leads him into some suboptimal decision making. We are going to work on active management strategies that will help keep him out of the danger zone. As well as building more engagement with his humans out in the world. Look out for progress updates on our stories.
