Both of these uteruses are from cats of similar weight. The small one is from a healthy young kitten with a normal uterus. The much larger one is from a 5-year-old cat with pyometra — and it appears dramatically bigger because it’s filled with pus from a severe infection.

Pyometra is life-threatening and can progress quickly. Spaying doesn’t just prevent unwanted litters — it protects your cat from serious, preventable conditions like this. 💕
