LEGENDS NEVER DIE. 🕊️
In Loving Memory of Legendary’s Salvatore D’Amore — SONNY
01.14.2014 – 09.27.2026
What a life Sonny had. Just a few months shy of his 13th birthday. My first keeper from my very first litter. The first dog I ever raised from birth. Little did I know the journey we were about to take together.
On the field, Sonny was an absolute FORCE. There wasn’t a scenario I could put him in that he wouldn’t take on. Gunfire, sticks, bats, ghillie suits, search-and-destroy missions, carjackings, we did it all. The boy got tested every way imaginable.
Off the field, Sonny was calm, balanced, confident, great with children and family, and never had a live bite. An absolute warrior on the field and a gentleman at home.
He was my road dog. Wherever I went, Sonny went. He slept in my bedroom, he went work with me, he was my right hand.
Sonny produced 10 litters, leaving behind generations to carry his bloodline forward. His power, confidence, drive, and stability represented everything I believe a working Cane Corso should be and his legacy will live on.
When a dog goes to battle for you the way Sonny did, you develop a bond that’s difficult to explain. The countless hours, victories, failures, and miles traveled together. There is nothing quite like it.
There will never be another Sonny. Some dogs are special. Others leave a mark on a breed, a community, and the person fortunate enough to share their life with them.
Sonny was one of those dogs.
Thank you for every battle, every mile, every lesson, and every memory. It was an honor and a privilege I don’t take lightly. Your legacy will live on. 👊 ⬆️
Special thank you to all the trainers that helped me with Sonny. Germaine, OJ, Mark, Dale, Dez, Tai, and Nic to name a few. 🙏
Rest in peace my boy. ❤️
