Howdy y’all 💗
Long update coming in.
I started Ice Cream Pet Services 10 years ago and have had the pleasure of working with many of you for years, if not all 10 of them. My goal has always been to help people feel safe and at ease knowing we will care for their precious fur babies like our own. Ice Cream has been my whole world. I’ve poured all of me into building something I’m truly proud of.
I don’t mind being vulnerable and sharing my experience, but I am finding it painful to retell so many times, so I wrote this to be transparent with what’s been going on with me. I recently had a hysterectomy due to stage 4 endometriosis and adenomyosis. I’ve lived with chronic pain and complications for decades, but in the last two years, my health worsened drastically. Many of my organs were bound together with scar tissue, shifted, and some even starting to shut down. With this, I am also processing the loss of becoming a human mama and working through other autoimmune and neurological challenges with my doctors. I’m already feeling A LOT better and most of my chronic pain has been relieved post-surgery.
All of my energy and focus went to keeping the day-to-day things operating with the quality care we are known for. However, I fell behind on some administrative tasks (like invoicing and paperwork) on days I had flare-ups and couldn’t handle much. If you receive invoices from 2024–current, I’m so sorry for the delay. I was doing my best. Please take your time with any balances, and if you have questions, I’m always here to talk things through. I’m working hard to catch up while also taking care of myself. I appreciate your humanity and understanding.
I’m incredibly lucky to have a team that continues to show up and support everything I can’t always carry alone. We’ve built something that feels like family. So many of you, our beloved clients, have become part of that family too. You’ve shown up for us in ways I’ll never forget, and I hope we’ve done the same for you. In a world that can feel heavy, this little community we’ve created is such a bright light.
I love you all and your animals so much. Thank you for trusting me, supporting me. I’ll never fully know how to express the appreciation and gratitude I have for each of you.
