Are you traveling this summer? Is your pet going with you or staying behind? Either way most destinations you travel, as well as boarding facilities require certain vaccinations to be up to date!

It’s always best to check ahead of time to see what is required. Wellness and new client appointments are being booked 4-6 weeks in advance so please, plan ahead!

With the warmer weather comes more dangers for our pets.

Keeping them hydrated, allowing them a safe place out of the sun ☀️ and making sure we don’t leave them in our vehicles is a great place to start.

Did you know the payment is often significantly hotter than the air?! Burns can occur on our pets paws if we aren’t careful. If outside temperature reach even just 86 degrees that raises the temperature of asphalt to 135 degrees! 😱🥵

A good rule to follow is the “5 second rule” (we aren’t talking about the food we may drop on the floor 😉). To determine if it’s too hot for your pet, place the back of your hand on the pavement. If you aren’t able to hold it there for 5 seconds, it’s too hot for your pup! Try walking them in the grass or other areas instead.
