WE’RE HIRING: RECEPTIONIST
Uinta Veterinary Services
We’re not looking for someone who can just answer a phone.
We’re looking for THE person at the front desk.
The person who walks in with energy. Who genuinely likes people. Who can make a nervous client feel a little better, welcome a new puppy like it’s the best thing they’ve seen all day, and stay calm when the phone is ringing, three clients walk through the door, and someone needs an answer right now.
Our receptionist is the first impression and the last impression our clients have of Uinta Veterinary Services—and we take that seriously.
You might be our person if…
You are over-the-top friendly, bubbly and approachable—not because someone told you to be, but because that’s naturally who you are.
You have compassion overload. You understand that behind an upset, scared or frustrated client is often someone who is worried about an animal they love.
You can stay calm in chaos. A busy lobby and ringing phones don't send you into a tailspin. You prioritize, communicate and keep moving.
You have a high emotional IQ. You can read the room, navigate difficult conversations, know when someone needs reassurance and know when a situation needs to be escalated.
You can be kind AND firm. Following clinic policies is part of the job. We need someone who can confidently explain and uphold those policies while still making a client feel heard and respected.
You are an excellent communicator. Reception isn't separate from the rest of the clinic. You are the bridge between our clients, technicians and doctors. Details matter. Communication matters. Following through matters.
You don't need someone standing over you to stay productive. When we're slammed, you hustle. When we're slow, you find what needs to be done.
We're not looking for someone who just needs a job for now.
We want someone who wants to build a career with Uinta Veterinary Services, become an important part of our team, grow in their position and still be here years from now.
This position will challenge you. You'll have hard conversations. You'll have incredibly busy days. You'll meet people on some of their best days with their pets—and sometimes on their very worst.
But you'll also have the opportunity to become one of those people our clients know by name, trust and are genuinely happy to see when they walk through our doors.
If you read this and thought, “That sounds exactly like me,” we want to hear from you.
