“Give your mind something worth believing in” 🔥
𝙎𝙚𝙚 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙒𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜
What are you telling yourself in the seconds before you run?
Because those thoughts matter more than you think.
If you walk into the alley thinking, “𝘐 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘭,” your focus is already on hitting that barrel.
If you say, “𝘐 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘧𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘧𝘧,” you’re already picturing yourself falling off.
I had someone tell me that before a run once.
“𝘐 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘧𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘧𝘧,”
They literally fell off during their run.
I’m not saying your thoughts magically make things happen. But what you focus on affects how you ride, how you react, and how you perform.
So if you want to win, 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜.
If you want a clean run, 𝙨𝙚𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙣 𝙧𝙪𝙣.
If you want a perfect run, close your eyes and visualize that perfect run before you ever leave the alley.
See the turns.
See yourself getting to your spots.
See yourself winning.

And the next time you’re sitting in the warm-up pen waiting to run, pay attention to what you’re telling yourself.
Don’t spend those last few minutes worrying about what might happen.

Your horse needs you confident, present, and committed.
