Rescued Animals, Rescuing Youth! In 2008 Erin Maxwell, an 11 year old girl, was found to be neglected by her father and stepmother. In Aug. By the end of Aug.

She was also abused and then strangled to death by her adult stepbrother. It was then that I knew that I could no longer sit around and keep hearing the end result of abused and neglected children, but that I had to do something to try to help and save these children. I cried out loud to God to tell me what to do and he answered. Our family had went on a missions trip to Romania in March of 2008. We would always pass by a horse farm on the way to the orphanages. I thought that would be great if they could hook the horse farm up with the children in the orphanages to give them a sense of a purpose, a hope and show them that there is a different way of life and people that love them. Well God said, "Why can't you do your horse farm idea here in the US?" So I shared my idea with my husband and our children. of 2009 we found the perfect property . we had obtained the property and started renovating it. By July 2010 it was renovated enough for us to move in. There is still a lot of renovating to be done, but that will come with time. We pair youth ages 6-18 who have emotional trauma from neglect, abuse, and or being bullied and youth who have trouble adapting socially, with animals that have been rescued from similar circumstances. Through contact of our animal mentors & human mentors we want to give the children hope, love, joy, confidence and show them that they were made on purpose for a purpose! We are primarily a horse farm with other animals such as alpacas, goats, a variety of birds, pigs, a donkey and more! We currently care for 39 rescued farm and exotic animals. Find your purpose in helping us give these children and animals a purpose, by financial support, volunteering, and praying for our program!

🐪💦 HAPPY HUMP DAY FROM MOROCCO! 💦🐪

Fun fact about Morocco the Camel: he is absolutely addicted to fly spray! 😂

Most animals see the fly spray bottle and head the other way… but not Morocco! He will come right up, stand perfectly still, and enjoy every single second of getting sprayed down. 🐪💦❤️

🐷 THE 3 LITTLE PIGGIES
The piggies need Animal Crackers. These are an important part of their daily routine and help us safely move them in and out of the house and around the farm.

We are also looking for volunteers to provide their weekly fruits and vegetables. This involves purchasing a few zucchini or other squash, slicing them into bags, adding a couple containers of strawberries, grapes, or blueberries, and dropping them off at the farm. This can easily be shared among several volunteers, weekly, every other week, or even monthly.

We are in need of paper plates used for daily animal feed.

Country Max or Tractor Supply gift cards are especially helpful and allow us to purchase what the animals need most, including:

Purpose Farm is a small, family-founded nonprofit with no paid staff, no state funding, and no large grant funding. Our animals and youth program are supported by the generosity of people who believe in what we do.

🐾 LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER HOME 🐾

This sweet approximately 3-year-old Pit Bull mix has been waiting for someone to give her the safe, loving home she deserves. ❤️

Earlier this year, she was found tied to a utility pole at an apartment complex early one morning. She was frightened, crying, and clearly confused as she waited for someone to come back for her. Sadly, no owner ever came forward.

A kind community member stepped in and has been fostering her for nearly three months, making sure she is safe, fed, cared for, and receiving the veterinary attention she needed. She has since been seen by a veterinarian, received her vaccines, and was found to be healthy. She is not spayed and does not have a microchip.

Now, the goal is to find her a loving forever home.

💕 She is described as:
🐾 Very gentle and sweet
🐾 Affectionate and loyal
🐾 Good on a leash
🐾 Comfortable around other dogs from a distance
🐾 Curious about her surroundings
🐾 More confident and comfortable now that she feels safe

She does not do well with cats being too close to her and may bark and chase them, so a home without cats would likely be best.

She has already had some playdates with another dog, and while there were no incidents, she wasn't interested in playing with the younger, energetic dog.

Purpose Farm does NOT have this dog. We are simply helping a fellow community member spread the word in hopes of connecting her with the right person or family.

She has already been abandoned once. Let's not let that be the rest of her story. ❤️

🌞🐴 It has been a HOT summer, and the flies are really in full gear now! 🪰

We’ve gone through our supply of fly spray in just one week, as our animals need to be sprayed several times a day for much-needed relief. Fly spray has now become a high-priority need on our Wishlist!

Donating fly spray will help provide relief for our horses, donkeys, alpacas, pigs, and camel as they battle these pesky insects every day. It also helps keep them more comfortable and can help reduce issues like irritated eyes and eye infections.
