Here on Long Island, we see a lot of ticks, and as a result, tick-borne disease. Lyme disease being only one of these!
We recommend annual blood tests for dogs, to screen for tick borne disease before symptoms appear (and 4-6 weeks after any tick bites!) 🐶
This can help treat disease before it begins to affect your furry loved one, so you can both keep having fun in the sun!🌞

🔥As you fire up the grill, keep these tips in mind to keep our furry friends happy and safe:

🌽 Skip the corn cobs— they can cause dangerous intestinal blockages.
🍖 Never give bones — they can splinter and injure the digestive tract or mouth.
🌭 Keep fatty foods and table scraps off the pet menu to help prevent pancreatitis and tummy upset. Instead, keep a tupperware of their favorite treats at hand so they aren't left out.
🍺 Watch out for alcohol and toxic foods like onions, garlic, grapes, and chocolate.
🔥 Keep pets a safe distance from hot grills, charcoal, and skewers.
💕Ensure a quiet, safe space for your pets to retreat too if they need some recharge time during the festivities
