Happy Labor Day from Robbie Potter Horsemanship! 🤠

Who is spending part of the day in the saddle? Are you trail riding, working in the arena, or simply enjoying some quiet barn time? Tell us what you and your horse are doing today!

If you are looking for something new to work on together, Robbie will be at H&H Arena in Taylorsville, NC, this weekend for the Cow Working Foundations Clinic. You do not need previous cow experience. This clinic will help you improve your timing, guide your horse’s feet, communicate more clearly, and work through new situations together. We've got room for up to four more riders!

For Lisa Philemon , it started as a fun Cow Working Foundations clinic. She didn't expect it to change the way she sees her horse, horsemanship, and their relationship.

"One of the most important things Robbie has taught me is how much communication is taking place between horse and rider. I'm learning to recognize when my horse needs to move his feet, where those feet need to go, and most importantly, why."

"Robbie has taught me that it's all about the relationship, and you can't have a true relationship without communication. When you begin recognizing your horse's questions and responding at the right moment, you stop simply riding your horse and start communicating with him."

A few weeks ago, Cindy came into the Leatherwood clinic already a pretty solid communicator. By the end of the weekend, this is what she had to say:

"Everything! Words cannot express how much I learned with Robbie. I am by nature a pretty good communicator, but now I speak horse! Thank you tons!"

That's the mission of RPH: "To help humans change so they can learn to effectively communicate with horses in a way that eliminates confusion and provides clarity for both."

What a weekend at the RPH Independent Trail and Obstacle Challenge! We loved watching every participant step up, work through the obstacles, and show the relationship they have been building with their horses.

Dolly said it best… nobody knows what’s around the corner at the Independent Trail Challenge, but if you don’t show up, there’s no way you can win! 🤠🐴

Our participants worked hard today preparing themselves and their horses for whatever may be waiting ahead. Tomorrow is competition day! Good luck to all of our participants!

More participants are arriving, the horses are getting settled, and we enjoyed hearing from a couple of riders about what they are looking forward to most this weekend at Springmaid Mountain Retreat.

We are excited to watch these riders step into the Independent Trail Challenge, work through the obstacles, and continue building a better relationship with their horses along the way.
