It’s not “just a bath.” ✨

When your dog comes in for a grooming appointment, there’s a whole lot more happening than shampoo + water. 🛁🐾

A professional groom can include:

🐶 Your puppy’s first grooming appointment can shape how they feel about grooming for life—let’s make it a happy, stress-free experience from the very start!

That calm, confident visit doesn’t begin when you walk through the door—it starts with the little moments you share together at home in the weeks leading up to it.
Here are a few simple ways to help your pup feel safe, relaxed, and ready:

✨ Handle their paws every day so nail trims aren’t so scary.
✨ Gently touch their ears, face, and tail to get them used to being handled.
✨ Brush them regularly, even if it’s only for a few minutes at a time. Reward them with treats!
✨ Let them hear household noises like a blow dryer (from a distance at first) so new sounds aren’t overwhelming.
✨ Practice standing calmly on a non-slip surface for short periods.
✨ Take them on short outings to meet new people and experience different environments.
✨ Keep your energy positive—dogs feed off your emotions!

In case you missed our live, here’s your quick catch-up.

We’re currently seeing a record number of pups coming in with fleas and ticks—and we noticed this trend early on. Based on what we’re seeing, this season is going to be especially heavy.

The best way to protect your dog is consistent preventative care.
Our top recommendation is Bravecto, which is available through your veterinarian. If you’re unable to get into a vet right away, we recommend Seresto collars—and only Seresto collars—which can be found through trusted retailers or online.

At the salon, we do offer flea shampoo treatments, but we do not remove heavily embedded or severe tick infestations. Those cases need to be properly treated beforehand for the safety of your pet.

It’s important to understand—fleas and ticks are not just a nuisance. They can lead to serious health issues, including anemia and illness if left untreated.

And prevention doesn’t stop at your dog—
Your home and yard must also be treated, as fleas and ticks often originate from the environment, other pets, and stray animals.
