Under Our Scars Ranch

Is there anything cuter than this 🥰🥰

Maple, Bubbles, Pickles, and George are enjoying this beautiful day 🫶🏼

We’re so excited to spend the day with our community after quite the week we’ve all had.

We will be there selling various items to raise money towards Hurricane Relief.

We also want to know what we can do for our neighbors and fellow animal lovers/rescuers 🫶🏼

Everyone is struggling in different ways, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still be there for each other as a strong community!

If there is something we can do to help, please ask! I’ve become pretty savvy with power tools (🤫don’t tell my husband LOL) and I’m not afraid of hard work 💪😊 Let us give back to a community who’s welcomed and supported us from day one 🥰

We can’t wait to see everyone! Take the day to just enjoy yourselves because you never know what they day might bring to you ❤️

We are truly blessed that we made it through this hurricane without any major injuries or losses. With that said, we did suffer damage to our fence as well as a total loss of our donkey and horse shelter and hay. We’ve set up an easy way to donate that gives you a tax deductible receipt. If you could please find it in your hearts, every little bit helps 🫶🏼🙏

I’m using the WiFi in my sisters SUV to make this post, but will not have service or power to charge my phone once home. Our house survived, however we lost our shelter for the donkeys and horses and there is a lot of fence down with debris I cannot move myself. I know everyone is doing clean up, but if anyone is able to help out, I would greatly appreciate it ❤️

I can’t promise I’ll be able to respond to this or any messages once I’m home without wifi/power. We do not have a generator. I’ll be home if you’re able to help!

Please keep us in your prayers through this hurricane and high risk tornados. We’ve used a livestock marker to mark our animals and we’re preparing in every way possible. Picking up anything that could become dangerous debris, checking over fencing, creating an escape plan, giving access to shelter but not locking anyone up so they have the ability to run to safety if need be. The donkeys and horses will be in pasture but easily let free if a tornado touches down and they need to run for safety.

I trust that everyone will come home when it’s all over if they do need to flee. As hard as it is to put so much in God’s hands, it’s all we can do at this point. You can only prepare so much, then faith has to take over ❤️🙏

With the impending hurricane, we will not be taking in any rescues until it passes. We will be focusing on prepping and tagging animals and doing what we can to keep them safe. 🫶🏼

Once the storm passes, we are happy to open again and take in anything needing help as long as we don’t have any major damage. 🙏

So excited to announce a new partnership with our local Animal Control to be a resource for incoming farm rescues needing placement! More details to come ❤️

It is such a blessing to be part of an amazing community and to be able to help in so many ways ❤️
