Good Saturday afternoon.
We missed apple fest due to several reasons, However the weather ( rain ) most definitely would of be a canceling reason regardless. For safety .. slippery grass isn't safe! Nor is wet rubbing tack !
Our horses are enjoying some R & R time and Birdie thinks she is Queen of the hill..lol and Jimbo King..lol

Some Tuesday evening news on our rescues"

Everyone meet Butterscotch the Bunny..
He is our newest addition..
Unfortunately he was a owner surrendered due to a move with none willing to take him.
He is a absolutely sweet boy and now has a home with us and many who will adore him !!

We also have moved some of our fur friends around.
Titan is now in the isle front joining the bigger herd
Lilly is least impressed that she can no longer reach her halter to play with..lol and no more Titan to annoy over her stall door to his ..lol
Tyson is happy to now have Titan as a neighbor.
Deja is now neighbors with Black since they tend to stick like glue since Bella's passing
Birdie is however - is still not impressed with isle housing ..lol

Announcement:
Unfortunately, and sadly, we need to announce that we will not be attending the Greene Labor Day Picnic due to the Jenn's husband being very ill. Some team Work obligations , shortage of volunteer staffing , and the passing of Bella we have made the very difficult decision to withdraw this year.
We assure you, we have done everything within our power to attend. And it is just not working in our favor this year.
Please do not forget about us. We look forward to seeing you next year. Please like, follow and share us. We still have many other horses that still need our care and time
Thank you Stable Hooves & Hands Team

Late last night Bella gained her angel wings that she fully deserved and rode over the rainbow bridge.
Bella came from New Holland auction purchased for slaughter - as she sat in a kill pen being ready to be loaded for slaughter in just mins - Back 14 years ago, Jenn picked her out of a herd and insisted that she was going to bring her home and save this older Mare.
Bella arrived to her forever home in August of 2013.
3 weeks later,
She unloaded off the trailer she was in and was in such bad shape that others chatted about how she would not make it through a week. Well, that girl transformed into a healthy, beautiful, vibrant, dedicated, loving horse - a true rock star! She was head mare of the herd and lead with grace and dignity!

She loved to ride. ( epse ially with children) She taught so many how to ride care and love horses. She engaged in activities from festivals , to store mascots., and weekly lessons.
But she was special to Jenn . Hand picked for her heart. And she shared her to all that wished to be in her presence !
Bella has been loved by so many over the years. And has lived to the approximate riped age of aprox 39. She was surrounded by love and was gently cared for as she crossed.
Huge thank you to Dutton Veterinary Services PLLC Dr Emily for taking such gentle good care of our girl!!
You will never be forgotten and she will forever be engraved. In our hearts!
We asked that you give the team some space. This is an extremely hard loss.
Feel free to post below your pictures / videos of our Beloved Bella !
