JK9 Pet Services, LLC Offering small scale boarding and personalized dog training tailored to the individual dog. Specializing in dogs that traditional boarding isnt an option for.

I have over 15 years of dog training experience and participate in a variety of dog sports. I run a small-scale boarding kennel out of my home. My unique style focused on individual attention of each dog opposed to a group play setting. Dogs do not play with unfamiliar dogs here, so if that is what you're looking for I am likely not the right kennel for you. I also bring over 15 years of dog training experience to the table and my dogs participate in a wide variety of dog sports. Visit my website www.jk9pet.com for a complete pricing list, calendar, and for more information about me and my policies. If you would like to book a stay or have any questions, please text me at 814-330-3802.

Back to your regularly scheduled programming.... boarding dogs. Ive had a break for a day or so, but the breaks never last long. Fisher is back and he grows so much every time I see him.

I truly do specialize in the misfits and weirdos of the dog world. My boarding style focuses on individuality. No mass let outs, no group play, no shared feeding spaces, just one on one attention. Not every dog is okay with a regular boarding kennel and I truly try not to act like one here.

Another surprise inspection by the local dog warden. Some people think this is a negative thing when they're coming into your home looking around, but im so glad we live in a state that does this. Ohio doesnt do kennel inspections! This is just one more thing to show im legitimate, your dogs are kept in a clean and safe environment, and I always try to be accommodating anytime he knocks. Check into your boarding facilities! Any place that takes a dog overnight for compensation should have a kennel license with the state in PA.

As a heads up to my clients, get thode dof licenses!!! They do check for these based off my records! Every dog staying here should be fully vaccinated, licensed, and up to date on flea and tick plus heartworm prevention. They should all be parasite negative, healthy, and clear of anything contagious that could impact the other dogs here. I do clean as if they aren't, but just ne honest if there's something going on with your dog.

With fall comes shorter days and even shorter dog training hours. It gets to be hard to cram everything in when the days are cold, wet, and the sunlight is few and far between. I will still accept board and trains, one per month, and I will still offer private lessons on Saturdays if I am available. Just keep on mind, my style of dog training means we are outside in the elements. Dogs need to see the world and just be dogs. Its easy to teach obedience in your living room, but the real world is where they need to thrive! So if you're training with me, prepare accordingly đŸ˜‰

My availability has changed up yet again and I am not planning on any trips the rest of this year now besides Halloween weekend. If I do leave town and your dogs are scheduled, my husband will be here to take over for me. I am usually not gone more than a night or 2. I am also accepting easy dogs and regulars the weekend of Halloween. I try not to overwhelm the husband too much haha

Rutledge is the last boarding dog standing, everyone else has left already from this weekend. So its just Chief, Oliver, Rutledge and a pile of dishes and laundry in a nice and quiet house today. I am thankful for busy weekends, but it is also nice when things quiet down just for a little bit. I wish I could be napping with all of them today.

Board and trains take a lot out of me and Ozzy was probably my hardest one to date. Add a full kennel and work deadlines to that, im crashing hard as soon as i can come up for air. It's totally worth it though because life with dogs is seriously the best.
