Happy National Dog Day! 🐶🎉

Today we’re celebrating the dogs who make us laugh, keep us moving, steal our hearts (and sometimes our snacks!) and inspire so many of us to do what we do in the pet industry.

And while we celebrate our own dogs, let’s not forget the ones still waiting for their forever homes. ❤️ Adopt, foster, donate, volunteer, or simply share a shelter dog’s photo. You never know who might see it!

Welcome to our New Member - Susan Godwin, President of PupScouts Org National Headquarters! Susan has been a friend to APP for many years and we have attended a bunch of her events in NYC over the years. So excited to have her and PupScouts as an official member, having fun - and doing good in the pet industry!
PupScouts are very similar to the girlscout /boyscout organizations but PupScouts is strictly for dogs and their parents. They are all about having fun, earning badges, helping others, meeting new friends and bonding with our parents. PupScouts also sponsors a few national organizations and local shelters, such as Bark for Life an American Cancer Society event, The Rabies Challenge Fund and Yorkie Rescue 911. Learn more here:

Visiting pet retail stores is always a lot of fun, and bringing my dog Louie Blaze with me, makes it even more fun. Why do I go? It's a simple way to support our local mom & pop pet stores, see what products that store has and what may be new in store. Recently at a local store, I happened to be walking Louie with his Freedom No-Pull Harness by APP Member 2 Hounds Design and this store had an entire display of them!

So I had to snap a quick photo of Louie in his harness in front of the display! And by the way, this is a fantastic product. The one Louie is wearing was actually my sweet boy Cody's harness - just showing how the quality and craftsmanship of this harness lasts, as I have had it for years now. ~ Nancy H. of APP.
