Howdy folks! Good Thursday morning to ya! It says in Deuteronomy 30:19‭-‬20 NLT

“Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the Lord , you will live long in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

These verses really jumped out at me during my devotion time. We get a choice between life and death, blessings or curses. How will you choose? If you choose to love this world and all the sin filled ways of this world then your are choosing death and curses and you will be eternally separated from God.
If you will choose to love the Lord your God, choose to obey him, and commit yourself firmly to him by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior then you are choosing eternal life and blessings! Again I ask you, How will you choose?

Howdy folks! Good Wednesday morning to ya! It says in Deuteronomy 8:19-20 NLT..

But I assure you of this: If you ever forget the Lord your God and follow other gods, worshiping and bowing down to them, you will certainly be destroyed. Just as the Lord has destroyed other nations in your path, you also will be destroyed if you refuse to obey the Lord your God.

Its easy when things are going good in life to forget God. We have to stay in Gods word and in prayer daily! If we don't we tend to slip back into worshiping the things of this world or our selfish and lustful desires. We have to remember we need to let God manage our lives, we turn to him for guidance, we put all of our trust in him even when we don't understand why things go the way they do! I know when i try to manage my life things go really bad! I'm so thankful Jesus is always right here with me, to leaf me and guide me! I recommend Putting your trust in him!

Howdy folks! Good Tusday morning to ya! It says in
1 John 1:8‭-‬9 NLT

If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

We have all sinned and fallen short! The great thing is if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior then you can be forgiven. Thank you Jesus for paying my sin debt in full!

Howdy folks! Good Monday morning to ya! It says in
Galatians 6:1 NLT

Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.

I see So many folks sober up, clean up, get into church, accept Jesus as their lord and savior and then start thinking they got this. They go back to the folks they were drinking and or drugging with trying CHANGE them. Sad to say most of them end up changing back to who they used to be instead of helping the folks they set out to change. I'm not saying don't try to gently and humbly help them by any means, I'm saying protect yourself by first being aware of your triggers and by taking another strong clean and sober Christian with you. You can both be held accountable to each other that way. Make sure your standing firm in Gods word, planted in a good bible teaching church and attending a good support group.

Howdy folks! Good Friday afternoon to ya! Here's one i wrote 11 years ago today. It says in Isaiah 55:6-8 NLT

Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near. Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously.

Are you tired of living in those old wicked ways? Are you fed up with living such a miserable life? I know i finally got fed up with how i was living! Those addictions drug me so far down that I really didn't even want to live at all! There is a way out of that life! His name is Jesus! Cry out to him to help you! He loves you so much that he died for you on a cross to save you! Make him # 1 in your life and trust him, he well begin changing you and your life!

Howdy folks! Good Thursday morning to ya! It says in
2 Peter 2:20-21 NLT

And when people escape from the wickedness of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again, they are worse off than before. It would be better if they had never known the way to righteousness than to know it and then reject the command they were given to live a holy life.

This verse really encourages me to stay on the right path, and to keep Christ first in my life! I had some really rough times before surrendering my will and my life to Jesus. I know in addiction, when we relapse it gets harder and harder to sober up and get back into recovery! Its the same thing when we start living for Christ then, go back to living in the ways of this wicked world. It says it would have been better if we never knew the way to righteousness than to know it and reject it. I personally know just how much God is blessing my life now that he is #1 and I'm not willing to risk losing all that! Make him the Lord of your life and put your trust in him! Don't let Satan the Father of lies deceive you! Stay on the straight and narrow path!
