ENRICHMENT IS FOR EVERY DOG!
Big dogs, little dogs, puppies, seniors, and every breed in between — ALL dogs deserve enrichment! Enrichment activities keep those brains busy, noses working, and tails wagging!
Today, Walter got to try a fun little enrichment activity while he waits for his forever family, and let’s just say… he gave it a 10/10!
Want to try it with your own pup? It’s cheap, easy, and you can do it just about anywhere!
All you need:
-A handful of your pup’s favorite toys
-Some small treats (the smaller, the better!)
-A curious pup ready for an adventure!
How to play:
1️⃣ Spread your pup’s toys around a small area, keeping them fairly close together.
2️⃣ Hide little treats in and around the toys.
3️⃣ Let your pup sniff, explore, and sniff out those tasty treasures!
It’s a simple way to encourage natural sniffing behaviors, keep their minds engaged, and add a little excitement to their day. Who knew a few toys and tiny treats could make such a fun activity?

Walter is currently our LONGEST RESIDENT at 190 DAYS. That’s 190 days of waiting for someone to walk through those doors and say, “That’s my dog!”
While he waits, we’ll keep giving him fun experiences, extra love, and reasons to wag that tail. But what Walter really deserves is a family of his own to share all those moments with.
