I have been extremely behind on keeping up with Lena!
She pulled a butt cheek and has been on light, flat, short rides as she gains strength back. She has been doing very well and had her first longer ride with some incline this week, and seems to be much happier to be out working again!

Sassy saw her first show on Sunday, and she won herself 3rd place overall in our division! I am so happy with how well she handled herself, even after a very long and tiring day for a baby.
Fingers crossed that her momma forgets her at my house, this is a filly I would absolutely keep around! 🥰

Sassy more than proved herself with an amateur youth rider on Friday. Every button, gait, stop, back, sidepass and handling without fault! Proud day!
With that, shes officially on "fun time" for her remaining time here. We are going to be doing lots of hauling around for trails, places, and meeting new people and horses🩷

New week means introducing a new topic!
For Sassy, this week is further introduction to lateral movement of her ribcage with comfortable, consistent forward motion as well as slowing down the jog and holding a more structured headset, not dropping her shoulder into turns and letting herself get "strung out" at the jog.
Yesterday was her very first lesson in asking both of these things seriously- to say I am impressed would be an understatement!

Due to some extreme increases in the cost to add services to my insurance, I will no longer be accepting horses for consignment. I am happy to spread word around of horses needing homes but cannot accept liability for equine sales. I am sorry for any inconveniences.
