Did you know... only the darker diamond shaped group of feathers is the peacock’s tail, the long feathers are his train.

So much for the new Guinea nests. The barn cats think we made them just for them.

A short video of my view as I shred some of our pasture. Love to watch the mockingbirds and scissortails grabbing the stirred up bugs.

Can you guess our favorite brand of vehicle? That’s ol’ Blackie in the middle, now our farm truck. “Grey” to the left, now our backup. And “new” Blackie to the right.

Well as of 2 am Sunday morning, our lambing season is officially over! Hallelujah, God has been good to us. 100% of our ewes had lambs. Our wonderful ram, "Woolly Hollow 0253 "Clay" from Dana Goochenour did a fantastic job! We had 12 sets of twins! 11 singles. We had only one death due to poor presentation (head only) and the fact we were not at home to help. But the twin was fine. We had a majority of ewe lambs (22), which I normally appreciate, but we have a large waiting list of repeat buyers for the 13 ram lambs. Apparently they are as tasty as we've been told. And I'd like to keep back a couple of the nicest ones for future herd sires. So I guess that is a nice problem to have. We are going to be selling some of the ewes with lambs at side. I have to keep the flock down in numbers even though it is hard to let any of them go.
