Had a blast playing in the dressage ring this weekend. Wellington was a great partner. We had some good scores at 1st and 2nd level 🥇 But I think the best part was getting to be the student. That doesn’t happen often! Thanks for the great coaching down centerline Ronnie Trotter🤍

Oh and special shoutout to Andrea Manley for helping me look the part in a gorgeous Stubben dressage saddle 😍

Kentucky 2026 “Behind the Scenes” 😂

I had such a fun 2 weeks with these girls, their horses and their families! We explored the Kentucky Horse Park, toured a TB race horse farm (and snuggled the babies!), ate lots of great food, met up with college friends for dinner, bought Eloise her first show coat, and of course showed our horses!

These girls brought their horses with no grooms. They fed, cleaned stalls, unbraided, bathed, scrubbed legs, did their own post show care, etc. I was so proud of them and their commitment and love of their horses. That’s why we do this!!

TPE Equestrian in Awendaw is looking to add to our team! We are so sad that our current Assistant Trainer is getting married and moving soon. So we have an Assistant Trainer/Barn Manager position opening.

The ideal person would mainly be responsible for teaching lessons for advanced beginners thru intermediate riders and managerial tasks (organizing, injury care, inventory of feed and supplies, etc)
Other jobs would include taking students to local schooling shows, some training rides, prepping feed, general barn maintenance, and some helping with feeding shifts.

We are a fun supportive group that includes a mixture of adults and kids. Our riders range from weekly lesson riders to A show competitors. Hours will be determined, but it is important that this person can teach after school during the school year. It is also important that they are open on weekends at times to travel to shows. Pay is dependent on experience.

Time to get the timeline caught up!! We have been busy so far in 2026 at TPE. We’ve had some great trips to Aiken, Mullet Hall, and Tryon. Horses have been awesome.. lots of ribbons earned, lessons learned, and peppermints given 🥰 Oh and I had a baby since I posted last on here! Here’s to a great summer. Next stop.. Kentucky!☀️🐎🥃

Team TPE is organizing our IEA TEAM for 2026-2027! This is a fun way to get to show without owning your own horse! IEA is for 4th through 12th grade. We attend at least 5 shows during the school year.

If you are interested please send a message to this page! You must be able to walk and trot confidently and know your diagonals. There are opportunities from Walk/trot thru 2’6”. Shows are held on weekends and you must commit to five shows. (Each weekend day is it’s own show so 2.5 weekends). If riders accumulate enough points during the regular season they can advance to a post season.

Practices are approximately once a month at TPEquestrian.
