In 2017, I decided to leave the corporate world and attend Catch Canine Trainers Academy and earn my Professional Dog Trainer and Behavior Certificate (CCPDT certification). While I worked vigorously getting my Dog Trainer certificate, I opened Bee's Dog Service for business in May. W

e started with walking, hiking, running, and photography, and now offer Professional Dog Training and Behavioral Services. My Pets:

In 2014, we rescued a Aussie mix named Lexi, from a shelter in CT. After adopting Lexi, I decided that my passion was dogs, I love learning how to communicate and train her, as well as loved getting her outside for hiking or a run. Not only did I enjoy the exercise but I could tell she was acting better and seemed overall happier. In 2016, we rescued another dog, a Doberman Shepherd mix, named Rue. My family and I worked really hard on training her properly and giving her plenty of exercise, as she was a rescue dog that came with behavior issues that stemmed from her critical stages of puppyhood. Early in 2018 we brought home a Border Collie named Murray and are currently training him in agility, bikjoring, canicross, and more! In the beginning of 2022, we brought home two more Border Collies. We knew we wanted a female Border Collie and went and visited Minerva. Drago was Minerva's grandfather. He had recently been attacked by his pack and was up for adoption. We didn't even hesitate for a second and said we will take him home too! Both Minerva and Drago have become a huge part of our family. Minerva is currently training to take over for Lexi, as Lexi is going to be 9 soon and will be ready to retire in a few years. Drago has taken to our daughter Madison, sleeping in her room every night. Madison is currently working on building his confidence with solo walks and training fun. We also have a cat, Bodey! We are passionate about our animals and my clients are our family. We treat your dog as if they are our own. We are proud of what we offer and our services! We love what we do and we love Dogs! We look forward to hearing from you and meeting those fur babies! Thank you,
Bee

There’s something about our CMDT program that I love when a new pup enters…

Some of the older dogs are like, “nah, no thanks.” Murray is definitely one of them. He’s sensitive to new dogs and new people…not too far off from how I feel sometimes, honestly. I get you, Murray.

But with thoughtful work, patience, and lots of positive associations, we can help dogs like Murray learn to feel safe, then curious, and eventually even want to play and hang with a new dog.

That’s the power of building the right associations…changing how a dog feels, not just what they do.

This is Hazel, who finally won over the Murr man ❤️

When you board with Bee, training never stops…

Cooper is enrolled in Loose Leash 2 and absolutely crushing it. I mean, that leash can’t get any looser … it’s already dragging!

I am so proud of how far he’s come with his leash skills in such a short time during this class. Huge shoutout to Cooper and his parents for putting in the work every day…reinforcing the good and not allowing those pulling behaviors.

We’re so excited to have Cooper staying with us for Spring Break at Bee’s 🌸

The things I hear some people say … 🫣

No, your dog is not trying to show you who’s boss/alpha or trying to be the “pack leader” by being in front. They don’t even know what that means. They in no way “want” to be the boss.

No, it’s not because they are trying to dominate me. Ugh dominance is with same species. I’m not fighting with them over food nor a mating pair therefore there is NO dominance happening here guys. If you are fighting with your dog over food and a mating pair, you may want to seek help and therapy.

No, it’s not because they aren’t trained. My dogs are trained to WALK in front of me and this is THEIR specific walking positions on a group walk. I can walk all 6 of my dogs with a cup of coffee in an open mug. My dogs are well trained and love their group walks together.

Enough with this idea your dog is somehow being dominant or your boss .. that is so untrue.
