Pig Pickin 2026
All dogs must be SDR or APDR registered to compete in sanctioned Conformation & Sports Events. Same day registration will be available (bring pedigrees/information on your dogs to fill out and pay for registration/paperwork). A delicious meal will be provided by Tom Garner & family. Pool will be available, all children MUST be supervised at all times. All dogs MUST be in a crate (not wire) unless competing or emptying out at that time. No walking around with animals who aren’t competing. Judging by world renown APBT figure Vinny Romeo. No dog aggressive humans. Only friends of the APBT to come and enjoy this family and friend based event.

🚨 Great News! 🚨

The language from H.R. 5017 targeting hunting and working dogs has been REMOVED from the Farm Bill. 💥

This didn’t happen by accident. It happened because many of you across the country spoke up and let Congress hear your opposition loud and clear!

The overly broad and dangerous language in HR 5017, the Greyhound Protection Act, could have impacted hunting with dogs, field trials, and essential training methods! But, thankfully, is no longer in the bill.

This is exactly why engagement matters. When we shine a light on bad policy early so it can be stipped before it becomes law.

While we are seeing strong indications that the language from H.R. 5017 has been pulled from the Farm Bill following intense pressure, we are continuing to verify and remain vigilant as the Farm Bill moves forward.
