In support of citywide efforts to reduce the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), and in light of the increased public desire to self-mitigate by avoiding public spaces, Dr. Maggie and Dr. Kimberly will be taking the following extra precautions to limit physical interaction with clients, while continuing to provide in home euthanasia services for beloved pets in need:
-We will not shake hands or hug at arrival and departure (this will be challenging for us, we are huggers by nature!).
-As always, we will thoroughly wash and disinfect our hands between each home visit.
-When weather, house layout, and pet mobility permits, we should all consider moving the appointments to a nice spot in the yard or out-of-doors (for canine visits, seldom an option for our kitty friends, we know). This would be a decision for the pet parent to make and simply request.
-We will encourage payment by check (checks can be made payable to “Compassionate Pet Vet”) or cash, thus reducing the need for handing credit cards and phones (for signature) back and forth. We will have a pen on us, but consider using your own to sign the consent form, if you so desire.
-We will be happy to accommodate any “house rules” and additional requests made in the pursuit of safety (remove shoes, wash hands inside the home, don exam gloves, etc.).
