Twenty pounds gone since I started this again this year.

But I want to be honest with you all about something because the number isn’t actually the thing I’m most proud of.

I’ve hit numbers before. I’ve lost weight before. And every single time I got close to a goal I told myself I was done. Finish line crossed. Time to coast.

This time feels different.

This time the finish line just looks like another checkpoint. Another confirmation that I can do hard things. Not a reason to stop but a reason to keep going.

And here’s what I’ve learned that I wish someone had told me earlier…

You don’t have to be at 100% to show up. You don’t have to be fully healed. You don’t have to be your best self today.

Some of these training sessions happened on 3 hours of fragmented sleep with a newborn at home. Some happened when I had nothing left. I showed up anyway and gave what I had in that moment. Not what I wished I had. What I actually had.

That’s it. That’s the whole secret.

Just don’t give up on yourself. Not when it’s hard. Not when you’re tired. Not when the progress feels invisible. Not when you feel like you need to be a different version of yourself before you can start.

You don’t need to be ready. You just need to be present.

One step. Then another.
