We offer in-salon calm and compassionate dog grooming by appointment only Tues-Fri. We are currently taking new clients on a case-by-case basis and offer everything from basic bath and blowout to shavedowns to full styling and scissor trims. ster Groomer and a Pet Tech CPR certifier for pet professionals and owners. She has over 15 years experience and gentle handling skills. If you are looking for a groomer to prioritize your pet’s comfort and safety you have found it. Andria is our long-time bather trained by 2 master groomers. She can properly bathe, deshed, and prep a dog and has excellent handling and attention to detail. We take continuing education very seriously and will care for your pet as if it were our own! Little Zouzou did great for his first groom. He’s learning to tolerate the dryer and brushing, but practice makes perfect. He was remarkably calm for his paw trim! 🐾🩷

Grooming puppies can be a challenge at times. It’s our job as groomers to show them it’s not scary and doesn’t hurt. There are lots of new noises and feelings with the blow dryer and vibration of the clippers and dremel; remaining calm and giving praise and breaks when needed are essential. The key is to get them in early and regularly to keep their training up and reinforce the good behavior!

Meet Kimchi, one of the pets of APS! 🐶🩷 This cutie belongs to Jade, and has a few nicknames that you may hear around the salon like Chichi, Cheech, and Kimberly (when she’s naughty!). Kimchi has 2 modes - plopped and GO! She is an 8-year-old pom from Recycled Pomeranians Rescue, Her passions are her chew toys, spinning, and obsessing over mom’s whereabouts. Her favorite treats are veggies of any kind, but really loves spinach and sweet mini peppers! You can always tell when Miss Kimchi has entered the salon; she will make herself known with plenty of barking!

Vino the goldendoodle has been a client of Jade’s for sixteen years! 🐶❤️ As a puppy he’d run in the front door to excitedly greet her. He may be moving a little slower now, but he’s still all love and cuddles. We don’t think he looks a day over 5, what do you think?

A proper bath and blowout includes drying and brushing all the way to the skin. This way, we can effectively remove any matts or excessive undercoat.

Dogs with undercoat can easily have things hiding in them that the owner or vet may not see. The added benefit of hand-drying is that we can see all the way down to the skin, making it easier to recognize grows or skin issues.

Here at Austin Pet Stylist, safety has always been our number one priority for your pets. It’s why Jade has renewed her certification for the AKC S.A.F.E. Grooming. This covers accident avoidance, pet and zoonotic diseases, sanitation, and handling special cases.

The program also covers humane handling of animals while keeping the groomer safe, how to avoid injuries and dangerous situations, and salon safety for all who work in and visit the salon — including health issues that can be present with any animal that comes in for grooming. It addresses regulations from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to avoid injuries or death in the workplace.

The recertification course includes a comprehensive review of the AKC S.A.F.E. Certified Groomer/Salon Oath and new strategies to keep groomers and pets safe in the grooming facility. When your pup comes in for a groom, they are in good hands!

Meet Ducky, one of the dogs of Austin Pet Stylist 💕 Ducky is our bather Andria's pup, and he is quite the bundle of energy. He loves toys like balls and stuffed animals, but his absolute favorite is Lambchop (what dog doesn't like Lambchop?). Don't underestimate Ducky though, he also likes to eat fruit and veggies! Ducky wants to be friends with everyone (and every animal) that he meets, even if the squirrels aren't too keen on being friends with him. Ducky often accompanies Andria to work, and always bursts through the front door of the salon ready to greet and play with everyone there. Oh, and we can't forget his charming smile!

Shoutout to Andria and her deshedding skills! 😍❤️ She would like to show you what a difference a good deshed can make. Removing impacted undercoat is a skill that takes patience, technique, and, of course, practice. Many groomers would opt to shave a dog with this much undercoat but it can almost always be done with the right products and time. Yes, this was one dog!! Care to guess the breed?

Bear would like to remind everyone that we will be on vacation from March 23rd to April 1st. His groomer will be recharging her batteries in the ocean and jungle of Honduras! 🏝️☀️ Response times may be slower than usual, but we will return messages when we are able to.
