Today I salute the memories of the 2,977 people killed on September 11, 2001. May the lives lost live on forever in the hearts of your families and loved ones, and remind us all that we are a nation continually fighting battles within our own borders and selves and that we not fall victim to the politics that seek nothing but to divide us. We are better than that. It's hard to believe that 23 years have gone by since the events of 9/11 that changed the world, and may God watch over each and every one of us.

A sincere thanks to everyone who participated in the fundraiser for Kenny. It was very successful.

We will be closed through February 15th in order to expedite healing and recovery after surgery. We plan to re-open at that time and will update here should that plan change. Thank you for all the support.

Some great news coming for "Heaven's Leash as well as some upcoming need to temporarily shut down for several weeks as I recover from surgery, scheduled for near the end of January. Will keep you informed and thanks everyone for ongoing support and encouragement.

So many good things going on right now with Heaven's Leash! We just moved into the 2nd round of application status for a wonderful grant program that Jobber has in place in Austin! It could be a life-saving grant for our business and allow us to expand a bit more in what we do, and is inspiring us to work harder on our growth patterns/planning, organization, and more!

If you're not familiar with Jobber, you should check them out, especially if you have a small business - or heck, even a good-sized one - to help with efficiency, finding new clients, and more. They're very community involved and are dedicated to helping you succeed.

As far as Heaven's Leash, our business has picked up (which we acknowledge, has a very sad side to that alone) but we are proud to be the only individually-owned pet aftercare service and company in the area, and we have some very unique ideas coming soon!

We definitely don't say it enough - but thank you to the wonderful pet owners that we've met over the last 15 years who have entrusted us to provide aftercare to their beloved pets. Our only regret is that we didn't get to know any of them until it was time to help their pet to the other side of the rainbow. But their hearts are still felt with us to this day.
