🐕 Your dog sees another dog across the street. Their tail is going, but their body stiffens. They pull forward, then hesitate. Then the barking starts.

For a lot of reactive dogs, it isn’t just excitement or just fear. It’s both at once. Part of your dog wants to get closer, and part of them is unsure about what’s coming. Those two feelings pull in opposite directions, and the tension between them builds fast. Each one adds to the other until your dog hits a point where they can’t think anymore, and it all comes out as barking and lunging.
