The spring HRC international Grand in Kevil, Kentucky ended last week. The crew had a great grand where we went 3/6 for a 50% pass ratio.
Big thanks the grand, judges, bird techs, club members, and to everyone who helped make it a great.
We are beyond blessed to have an amazing group of dogs. We lost one in the first series then took the remaining five to the fourth series where we lost two for pointing out on the blind as they both pick up a set of 1s earlier in the week.
•GRHRCHx5 TALL TIMBER RETRIEVERS ORIGINAL TIMBER HUNTER MH
~ Timber. He picked up his fourth grand pass Back-to-back. Owners: William Niles and Rachel Niles
•GRHRCHx3 TTR’S NITRO EXPRESS SUPER MAGNUM MH MNR ~ Remi. She picked up her third grand pass back-to-back. Owners: Rachel Allgood Niles and William Niles
•HRCH TTR’s EVERY DAY I’M HUSTLIN’ MH (one grand pass) ~ Hustler. He picked up his first grand pass, making it through all the way on 2s. Owners: Eli Yates and Taylor Yates
•HRCH TTRS GAURD OF HONOUR MH ~ Honour. (One grand pass & Master National plate). She made it to the fourth series where she pointed out on a tough blind. Owners: Blake Smith and Taylor Wolfe Smith
• HRCH DPJ LIGHTNING PETE ~ Pete. He made it through the fourth series, but unfortunately got a set of 1s on the blind and pointed out after getting a set of 1s in the second series for handling on a mark. Making it to the fourth series again for only his second appearance at the grand is still really impressive. Owners: Curtis Boyd and Tabbitha Boyd
•HRCH IT’S MILLER TIMES NELLI ~ Nelli. She went out in the first series after not seeing the first bird and having to handle to the that mark. She got caught up in drag back and did not want to handle out of that area. This makes her second appearance at the grand. Unfortunately miss Nelli girl had some bad luck. Owners: Camron Miller Ashtyn Miller with Southern Migration Outdoors
An even bigger thanks to our clients for trusting us and giving us the opportunity to work with their outstanding dogs!
It’s always our goal and always will be to pass every dog that we take to the Grand, but unfortunately that’s not always the outcome. All in all we are very proud of these dogs now time to get back to work and get ready for some more test and get ready for the fall Grand!
