As we mark one month since the passing of our beloved Baby Boy on November 13, I find myself reflecting on the bittersweet journey we shared with him. I wrote him an obitchuary.
**In Loving Memory of Baby Boy Aguilar-Nolte **
Born on December 16, 2013, in Austin, Texas, Baby Boy was so much more than just a corgi; he was a cherished member of our family.
Rescued from a troubled past, Baby Boy’s journey took him through several homes and foster families before he finally found his furever home with us in April 2023. It took him six long months to give me a face lick, a moment I’ll always treasure, and in total, I was lucky enough to receive six of those sweet kisses over a year and a half. His transformation from a shy and timid pup to a spirited companion was nothing short of magical.
This quirky corgi had a personality that could melt even the coldest of hearts. He loved car rides, walks, and had a mischievous talent for escaping the backyard, often leading us on unexpected adventures filled with worry and laughter. Baby Boy found joy in rolling around in the most amusing things, relishing scents only he could appreciate. He was the cuddliest of love bugs, always ready for a warm cuddle session that would often turn into a cozy nap. His squeaky tennis balls were his prized possessions, but nothing filled his heart with more joy than his friendship with Jagger. His raspy bark added a unique charm to our lives, one that will forever echo in our memories.
In his furever home, Baby Boy thrived alongside his corgi brothers, Dilly and Jagger, and even learned to tolerate his corgi baby sister, Nugget. Together, they filled our home with boundless love and endless silliness.
His journey was one of joy and resilience, teaching us to cherish every moment. Baby Boy has been deeply missed by his dog mom, Dulce, and all his furry siblings. For a week Dilly slept by his grave, mourning deeply. Rest in peace, sweet Baby Boy. Thank you for all the cuddles and the unforgettable memories; you truly were one of a paw.
