Our new baby hens are here!

This means we can keep supplying you with those delicious eggs for the coming year!

While these young-uns come online, our one-year-old flock will keep egg production going.

When these new guys are ready, we will retire the “old” flock - sell them to backyard chicken keepers - and the new ones will carry the torch for all your egg eating needs.

Quick update on the fund raiser:

With your generous donations we got Link and Shiek, our new livestock guard dogs.

They’ve done an amazing job stopping the coyotes.

With their protection, the hens have started laying eggs again. 🙌

The farm’s on the mend, but we still need your help.

WE NEED HELP!

We’ve recently been hit by coyote attacks. We’ve lost a lot of hens and the ones left aren’t laying because they’re traumatized.

The costs to replace and protect them, as well as the loss in revenue, threaten the financial foundation of the farm.

We’re asking for your help to raise $8600 in 3 weeks to save the farm.

Recently went to an amazing gathering of regenerative farmers!

The annual APPPA conference is awesome!

Every year I go, this business gets stronger and the chickens get healthier.

I cooked this last night.

Insane. And so so easy.

20 mins to prep. One hour later you have fall-off-the bone chicken and out-of-control broth.
Eat it with mashed potatoes or crusty bread. Wow!

Field Guide Festival is a thoughtfully curated tribute to the Central Texas food system and the people who
sustain it.

The 2025 weekend will bring together 65 local chefs and farmers to highlight the incredible talent and
craftsmanship that define Austin’s culinary scene.

The festival highlights Austin’s local food system, connecting the community to its food sources and deepening relationships with regional farmers and producers.

Since its inception in 2021, the festival has paid Central Texas chefs and farmers $102,676 for their products
and time.

Tickets to Field Guide Fest benefit our non-profit partner, Central Texas Food Bank.
