Real is Better - Sniff Out the Difference

This is one every dog owner needs to know and most don't.

Gut bloat happens when your dog's stomach fills with gas and actually twists - causing the intestines to become entangled. It requires immediate life-saving surgery to correct.

And here's what makes it even more important to know. While it is more common in larger deep-chested dogs it can happen to ANY dog.

The most common cause? Feeding too close to playtime or exercise.

Mike's personal rules with Jujube - backed by vets:

After play or exercise: Wait a minimum of 1 hour before feeding
After feeding: Wait a minimum of 1.5 to 2 hours before a walk or exercise

In summer Mike feeds Jujube around 6PM and they don't go out for their walk until around 8:30PM. That window protects Jujube from a condition that could require emergency surgery.

Behind the Scenes 🎞️

Did you know every single bag of Jujube's treats takes anywhere from one to two hours to make? Each one. By hand.

We receive everything raw and minimally process it right here in the kitchen. No preservatives, no salts, no brines, no shelf stabilizers, no fillers, no byproducts. Nothing.

And when we say human grade. We mean it. The quality of meat you would purchase right at your market. That is the standard every single treat is held to.

Even natural preservatives are off the table - high levels of Vitamin E can upset your dog's gastrointestinal system and high levels of Vitamin C can cause toxicity. So we use nothing. Just real ingredients dehydrated the right way.

Because your dog gives you everything. The least we can do is give them the real thing. 💛
