A little over a year ago, we thought Bandido’s walking days were over. He couldn’t stand up, move on his own, or enjoy his daily walks. Heartbroken, we reached out to the Xolo Sarapes community asking for advice.

​You delivered.

​Following your recommendations, we explored acupuncture therapy—and it completely changed his life. Today, at 12 years old, Bandido is living his best life: walking independently, exploring green fields, and running free again.

​Bandido came to us 10 years ago after surviving severe abuse and trauma. That day, we made him a promise: we will never abandon you, and we will do whatever it takes for your well-being.

​Senior dogs don’t expire. When they grow old, sick, or slow down, that is when they need our love and loyalty the most. Abandonment is never an option for family.

​Look at him today: a true warrior, an inspiration, and the proud Ambassador of Xolo Sarapes, wearing his 100% hand-loomed Oaxaca backstrap collar made with pure love. 🇲🇽

🐾 Copo & Canek need a sitter TOMORROW — and we’d love to meet you TODAY! 🐾

Xolo family, we need a little help! ❤️

Our regular sitters aren’t available tomorrow, so we’re looking for someone trusted and experienced who can care for Copo & Canek at their home tomorrow.

📍 We’re in the Cedar Creek/Bastrop area (78612).

Because this would be their first time staying with a new sitter, we would like to meet TODAY. We’d love for Copo & Canek to meet you — and any dogs in your home — while we’re there, and also see the place where they would be staying.

Tomorrow, we would drop them off early in the morning and pick them up around 10 PM the same day.

🐶 Copo is our sweet 12-year-old senior Boxer. He needs medication during the day, so experience with senior dogs and being comfortable giving medication is important. His meds are very easy to give — we prepare them inside small meatballs and he happily eats them. ❤️

🐕 Canek is our Xoloitzcuintli. He can be cautious around new people, so we need someone calm and patient who understands dog behavior, respects his boundaries, and allows him to approach at his own pace.

🏡 What we're looking for:

• Experience caring for dogs, preferably senior dogs
• Comfortable giving medication
• A secure, fully enclosed home/property
• NO cats
• Preferably no other dogs, OR only calm, friendly dogs that can meet Copo & Canek TODAY to make sure everyone is comfortable together
• Ability to keep the dogs separated if needed, especially during meals or when unsupervised
• A patient, responsible person who genuinely loves and respects animals ❤️

Abre tu corazón: Llenemos juntos el Gran Altar Comunitario Xolo 2026

​Este año volvemos a encender la memoria para rendir tributo a todos esos peluditos que ya cruzaron el Mictlán, pero dejaron sus huellas marcadas para siempre en nuestras vidas. 🧡🐾

​En el altar físico que montamos cada año en el Mu***os Fest, no solo recordamos a las mascotas de nuestra familia. También reservamos un espacio muy especial dedicado a los perritos callejeritos que nunca tuvieron un hogar, pero que siempre merecieron una familia llena de amor.

​Queremos que la memoria de tu compañero de cuatro patas siga brillando. Por eso, te invitamos a formar parte de esta tradición comunitaria.
