🐾 A Friendly Reminder for Our Dog-Loving Community 🐾

We absolutely LOVE seeing your pups at the farmers market. They make our Saturdays even better! ❤️

Last week, we used a heat gun to check the temperature of the pavement, and the readings were shocking. Even when the air temperature feels manageable, the concrete and asphalt can easily reach 125°–145° or even hotter.

As someone who used to work in a veterinary clinic, I can’t tell you how many dogs we saw every summer with burned paw pads. Their paws were raw, red, blistered, and incredibly painful—all from walking on hot pavement for just a few minutes.

Please help us keep your furry family members safe:
🐾 If you’re visiting the market after about 8:00–9:00 AM, consider using:
• Dog booties
• A stroller
• Carrying smaller dogs
• Staying on shaded areas whenever possible

💧 Always bring fresh water.
☀️ Limit time on hot pavement.
🌡️ If the air temperature is above 88°F and the real feel is in the 90s or higher, your dog can overheat much faster than you think. Dogs can suffer heat exhaustion and heat stroke just like people.

A good rule to remember:
If it’s too hot for your bare feet, it’s too hot for their paws.

Thank you for three amazing years of tail wags, happy dances, puppy kisses, and supporting our small business every Sunday. What started as a market booth became a community, and we are forever grateful for every customer, every dog, and every memory we’ve made together.
