This one is a hard one. 🤍

Josh is one of my best friends, and through so much of my own growing and learning in this industry, he was always there—trusting me with his boys and giving me the opportunity to build such a special bond with Tucker and Cooper.

Tucker was pure sweetness. Getting to care for him over these last few years was a privilege I’ll never take for granted. He wasn’t just a dog I worked with—he was a little soul I genuinely loved and will always remember.

We may have lost Tucker, but the impact he made on the people who loved him is forever. Almost 16 years of love, memories, beach days, tennis balls, and being Josh’s best friend—that kind of love doesn’t disappear.

Thank you, Josh, for trusting me with your boy. And thank you, Tuck, for letting me be a small part of your beautiful life.

There are some people in this industry who remind you that community will always be bigger than competition. 🩵🐾

Angie & John Moon of Petbar Four Points have been those people for me. Over the years, every time our paths have crossed, they’ve welcomed me with open arms, encouraged me to keep learning, and supported me as I grew — both as a pet professional and as the owner of Little Bear Spaw Care.

When I needed to step away and focus on building my own company, there was no weirdness, no competition — just genuine encouragement. That meant more to me than they probably realize. 🥹

But what I admire most is how much they truly love the dogs and the community they serve. They helped teach me that being successful in this industry isn’t just about caring for the pet in front of you — it’s about showing up for the whole pet community.

Some people in this industry just stay with you — and Iishha is absolutely one of those people. With 20+ years in the grooming industry, her talent speaks for itself. She specializes in Asian Fusion grooming and senior littles, and I have been a fan of her work for years.

I’ve also had the privilege of learning from Iishha personally, and what makes her special goes far beyond grooming. She has an incredibly gentle, intuitive way with animals — especially our babies entering the later chapters of their lives. There’s a light about her that I honestly don’t know how to put into words. ❤️

🐾 NORTH AUSTIN PET PARENTS — WILL BE POSTING A SERIES OF PET PROFESSIONALS 🐾

As Little Bear Spaw Care gears up for our next chapter and the launch of our van, I’m going to be spotlighting some of the pet professionals I genuinely trust throughout North Austin.

And when I say trust, I mean it. These aren’t random businesses pulled from a search. These are groomers, boarding & daycare professionals, facilities, veterinarians, rescues and other animal professionals that I know, respect, recommend — and in many cases, would trust with my own pets. That matters to me.

Over the next several months, my schedule is going to get BUSY as we build out the van, grow our clientele and prepare to hit the road. I’ll always do everything I can for my Little Bear families, but I also want you to have good people to call when I can’t be the answer.

Some pups need a little extra patience, and Pepe is one of those babies who reminds me exactly why I love what I do. 🥹🐾 He is the sweetest little gentleman and an absolute gem on the table… until the equipment turns on and that fight or flight says, absolutely not today. 😂💙

But with patience, trust, consistency, and an incredibly supportive mama like Alejandra by his side, we’re taking it one visit at a time. Thank you, Alejandra & Sebastian, for trusting me with your sweet boy and allowing us to be part of his journey. I’m so excited to see how far Pepe goes — better days and better grooms ahead! 🐾🩵
