Fur Angels Animal Sanctuary Our mission is to give all pets (big and small) a second chance at finding a loving forever home.

Fur Angels Animal Sanctuary is a non profit foster home based animal rescue run by volunteers. Our volunteers donate their time outside of their full time jobs and family to help animals in need. We rescue all kind of animals: Dogs, cats, small animals, birds and even reptiles. We rescue animals from kill shelters, animal control and owner surrenders. Our rescue is unique in that we also work with animals with disabilities. We get no grants or any type of funding, but rely on adoption fees, donors, and sponsorships to help continue our work helping the animals that need us. We also conduct fundraisers to raise necessary funds to provide care for our foster animals. We are located in many different areas: Aurora, Oswego, Chicago, Joliet, and even Northwest Indiana. Olive and Basil are a bonded 6 & 7 year old female and male pair of green cheek conures looking for their new home and family. Basil is a pineapple conure while Olive is a standard green cheek. They love to take baths and enjoy exploring their cage and toys as well as out of cage time. Olive is very vocal while Basil is less vocal but is protective of his cage space. Both love music and will dance with the human foster bopping their heads up and down. They are not currently finger trained, but are not fearful of humans or hands. They would be best with experienced conure owners who will enjoy their personalities and antics and have the time and patience to help them trust. Snowball and Spring are a female and male bonded pair with special needs. Snowball was found as a stray who had an injury to one side of her cere, but is in good shape otherwise. Spring was surrendered from a home whose 4 budgies multiplied to over 70 in two years, and loses or plucks his chest feathers when stressed. Both are very active and enjoy lots of time out of their cage. Adoption fee for the pair is $40. If you would like to meet this playful pair, fill out an application at furangelsas.org

T-rex is a very temperamental young guy. He is estimated at about 3-4 years old. He eats well with a variety of greens, pepper, grapes, apples,etc....he requires a soak everyday in the tub. Some days he doesn't have a problem being picked up others he will thrash and open his mouth. He will require an experienced Adopter with knowledge of iguana care and heating regulations. He is 3 feet long from head to tip of his tail. His adoption fee is $50. Please complete an application for adoption at FurAngelsAS.org. He can come with his 5 foot custom made cage for an additional fee of $150.

Meet two sweet one year old boys who enjoy popcorning and cuddles. Calvin and Hobbes may be a bit shy at first, but once they are in your arms, they relax and enjoy the attention. Calvin enjoys being pet in his cage as well, and Hobbes is a champion popcorner, getting very excited when his foster mom gets out the hay bag to refill his hay box. They also love cilantro and peppers, but aren't fans of grapes. Both boys are crested, with Hobbes being an unusual long-haired crested mix. Calvin and Hobbes need at least a 2ft x 5ft cage and enjoy out of cage time to explore. If you'd like to meet these sweet boys, and possibly adopt them, fill out an adoption application at FurAngelsAS.org. Adoption fee for the pair is $50.

Meet Chai, a 10 month old female mini lop who is as intelligent and energetic as she is beautiful. Chai loves to run, play and explore. She is so entertaining to watch as she plays and does amazing binkies! She will do best in a home where she could be free roam as she requires a lot of room to burn off energy and explore. Chai loves attention once she trusts you and even doesn’t mind being handled now and then. Given time and attention she could be taught tricks as she is highly intelligent and curious. She loves to move things around and create new adventures for herself as she explores her surroundings. I never get tired of watching this little girl with the big personality! Chai is spayed, chipped, fully RHDV2 vaccinated and litter box trained. Start your next wonderful adventure by giving Chai her furever home!
