Haven’t posted in a while, it’s been a little busy around here… 😀😀 been a good deer season for several hunters, who have brought in some nice bucks to have mounted. My nephew Wyatt came down for youth gun season, we were not able to get him a deer, but we had fun hunting together. I shot a deer with my crossbow, the week before gun season. He will be some good jerky and deer sticks before too long

Got a few different projects going. Sherry’s been working on a bobcat this week , and i’m getting some deer in to cape out and tan. Will be mounting an Elk next, and will need to take a few days off in the next few weeks to chase some deer myself.😀😀
Our grand daughter Raelin turned 2 a few weeks ago. She likes the KC Chiefs “of course” and likes to play the piano, and ride on the golf cart when she visits Grandma and Grandpa’s house😀😀. Good luck to all the deer hunters over the next few weeks as the bucks are starting to look for does!!

Taxidermy season 2022 begins! Got a nice Colorado bull in a lady shot with a muzzleloader. Just got back from fishin in Canada, and caught some nice walleye’s and pike. We had a great time and the weather was perfect all week. Ate my fill of fish all week 😀😀 Deer season has started here in Missouri.

Been working on several different projects in the shop. Deer European mounts, turkeys, cats, and a couple fish. Several days in July the temp has been over 100 degrees, so we’ve spent a lot of time near the water and in the good old Air conditioning. Hard to believe deer season starts in a month , and Elk season out west starts in a few weeks. Feels like the calm before taxidermy storm😀😀😀
Took Raelin to the creek a few times , she likes sitting in the water with us, and keeps her sunglasses on. 😎😎😎

Have’nt posted anything for a few weeks. Been kinda busy around here the last few weeks with mounting bobcat’s, vacationers, Jimmy Buffet concerts, and boating😀😀. Weather has been nice and hot here. Sherry’s been helping out a lot in the shop with all the cats. We’re trying to teach Raelin how to wear sunglasses, and keep them on , so she can look as cool as her grandpa!!😎😎

3 more deer finished up this week. Going to the world Taxidermy championships next week as a spectator😀. Its cool to see the best mounts in the world, and learn a few things while were there. Sherry updated our rode sign last week, and we were able to go out and find a few mushrooms. Raelin climbed in her car seat sitiin on the patio and was ready to go for a ride, but the car was missing 😀😀😀. She hates to get in it in the car, but climbed in and sat in it outside😀😀

3 more deer finished up this week, and whitening up a few customer skulls. Sherry finished up her bobcat mount this week , thought she did an awesome job on it!!
Raelin got to meet the Easter bunny at daycare yesterday, and go on her first Easter egg hunt. She seemed to like it by the smile on her face.😀
The mushrooms are starting to pop around here, and Turkeys are gobbling every morning, so its time to spend some time in the woods.

Got a couple more deer done this week. Sherry’s been mounting up her bobcat this week and should be finishing it up today. We have 5 more in the freezer to mount up in the next few weeks😀😀. Took a few days off for the “spring breakers”from Iowa last week. We went fishin,backroading, saw an illusionist in Branson, and Goober took us for a covered wagon ride.

Couple more deer mounted up this week. Got a few more deer to mount up then ill be starting on some bobcats and a coyote. I thought I would put some beef brisket on the smoker today while I worked in the shop. It smells really good outside, and cant wait to sample some😀😀. Our neighbor invited us for dinner and a covered wagon ride last Saturday, we had a great time and Raelin really liked the wagon ride and feeding the goats.

Another batch of deer finished up and ready to go home. Made a trip to Iowa last week so didn’t get much done in the shop. Its been cold here for the last couple days , we had sleet and ice, but supposed to be back in the 60’s next week. I’m ready for boating, and swimming weather!!!!😀😀 Raelin likes to help bring groceries in cause she gets to ride in the wagon😀😀😀. We boarded the dogs while we went to Iowa, think they were happy to see me when we got back. 😀😀

Couple more deer mounted up this week. Sherry graduated from deer “butts” and got her grey fox mounted up this week 😀😀. She did it pretty much by herself and did such a good job I gave her Friday off😀😀. Raelin likes to wear the dog coat around the house for some reason, and she’s staying overnight at gpa and gma’s tonight.😀😀😀
