Vet techs are the heart of every OR team, and their skill and dedication make a difference every single day. At some VCA specialty hospitals, we take surgical collaboration even further. Easton is an 8-year-old who graduated 9/22/26 for the second time from chemotherapy for lymphoma. He completed his first chemotherapy protocol in February 2025 then resumed chemotherapy in July 2026 when his lymphoma returned. We hope he experiences another durable remission!

Bear is a 10-year-old who completed chemotherapy for lymphoma on 9/17/26 and is now in clinical remission.

Our Emergency & Critical Care Department remains open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Medical oncology had another chemotherapy graduate. Oreo has splenic hemangiosarcoma in which he started doxorubicin chemotherapy on 6/4/26 and finished a total of 6 doses on 8/12/26. Congratulations, Oreo!

Medical oncology had another Dr. Able graduate from chemotherapy, Dolly. She is a urethial transitional cell carcinoma patient in which first started vinblastine chemotherapy on 4/30/26 and completed her 8th dose of vinblastine on 8/4/26. Dolly also went through radiation therapy with Dr. Sowders.

Hammy has a**l gland adenocarcinoma and was treated with surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. She completed chemotherapy with Dr. Able and medical oncology team in July. Hammy has been a joy to work with and we will miss seeing her more often for treatment, but are thrilled we will see her for close monitoring.

• Get them out for a long walk to burn energy

Earlier this month, our team had the opportunity to walk in the Aurora Pride Parade. 🌈
